Head of PKF’s Leeds office, James is a Chartered Certified Accountant, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).  James, whose 25 year career in restructuring and insolvency spent in both London and Yorkshire regions has undertaken a variety of both corporate and personal insolvency appointments throughout his career across many industries and sectors.  Latterly, James has developed a specialism in financial services both at corporate and individual levels often where fraud and misfeasance are suspected.

James has developed the firm’s relationships and the provision of its contentious insolvency service offering with numerous government agencies and creditors groups, in particular where there is overriding objective to protect vulnerable members of society.

• Administration of a tertiary unregulated lender – discovery of fraud in excess of £30m
• Insolvent Deceased Estate – Successful action against Executor for misappropriated funds
• Bankruptcy of an IFA – Investigation into £14m fraud against investors
