Kay Linnell is an experienced Chartered Accountant with a background in tax and disputes.  Her current practice deals with forensic cases in criminal, civil and family courts in the UK and overseas.  She deals with commercial mediations and investigations.

She is a Chartered Arbitrator, a CEDR mediator, a Fellow of the Expert Witness Institute and Vice Chairman of the EWI Board of Governors.  She has been a Vice President of the EEEi ( Institut European de l’Expertise et de l’Expert), continues to be a member of the Fraud Advisory Panel Investigations Committee, is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Part Time lecturer at Portsmouth University in Forensic Accountancy, a member of the Dispute Board Federation Panel and is a Liveryman and is a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators (a City of London Livery Company).

Kay is also a former HMRC employee and was the Board of Inland Revenue’ Chief Prosecuting Accountant (Grade 5) and Head of Accountancy Profession but this is still covered by the Official Secrets Act although it gave her a unique insight into the operation of HMRC 

She headed up the Examinations Board at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for 4 years and was a founder member of the Accountants in Arbitration Special Interest Group.  She has taught internationally for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators including a series of courses in Malta for condominium disputes.
